THE CAST

Mateo Correa (Kenny) is a Theatre major at the Denver School of the Performing Arts and will be entering the 9th grade. His credits include film, television, print and stage performance. Most recently he performed in the musical "Kempe Broadway Revue" to benefit the Kempe Child Abuse Prevention Foundation and is currently rehearsing for the musical "Thoroughly Modern Millie". Professional stage roles include "The Prince of Wales" in Richard III with the Denver Center Theatre Company and as "Charlie" in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" at the Denver Victorian Theatre.

Kathryn Southall (Sally) is from Denver, Colorado. Her parents say that she has always wanted to act as long as they can remember so they signed her with a local agency. This led to Kathryn booking some voice over work. In the summer of 2009, Kathryn's father thought it was best to seek some professional training for his daughter, so contacted a Denver local acting coach, Su Coffey. Kathryn was accepted into Su's intensive, eight-week acting course after which she was invited to sign with her L.A. talent manager and talent agent. Kathryn has since completed some short films and more voice over work. She continues to train regularly with Su.

Chris O'Neil (Joey) is an American actor, primarily known for the 2007 science fiction drama, The Last Mimzy. O'Neil was born in Boulder, Colorado and currently attends Denver Academy. O'Neil won five silver and one bronze medals at amateur acting competitions during the summer of 2005 and was taken on by Cutler Management, who sent him to study acting. Shortly after that, he was cast in The Last Mimzy, which was his second acting audition. O'Neil lives with his family in the foothills outside of Denver, Colorado.

 

THE CREW

Writer/Director/Editor: Clifton Archuleta
Director Clifton Archuleta served in the U.S. Army for nearly 8 years as an Arabic translator before returning to Colorado to study film at the Colorado Film School in Denver. Since, he as worked on numerous projects though various roles. Most recently, Clifton edited The Nutritional Value of Dreams, a film adaptation of a short story by renowned author Etgar Keret, which was adapted and directed by James F. Clark. Breakaway is Clifton's third year production at Regis University (Colorado Film School) and his first time working with child actors. He is currently in his Senior year of Regis University's B.F.A program and in pre-production on his thesis film Broken Cycle.

Producer: Lauren Enberg
Producer Lauren Enberg's seeds of creativity were first planted when she explored filmmaking at the young age of 12 with homemade music videos and "Real World" spoofs. She became enamored with the writing process, writing her first short play at the early age of 15. This passion inspired other creative avenues for Lauren, including painting and singing. Looking for the quintessential outlet to combine all of these things, Lauren decided to finish her undergraduate studies and landed at the Colorado Film School in Denver, CO. There, she has written, directed, edited and produced six short films. She is currently in her senior year at the film school and plans to graduate with her B.F.A. in May of 2011.

Director of Photography: Peter Wigand
Cinematographer Peter Wigand was born in Graz, Austria in September 1986. As a young boy, he loved to take pictures and film with his dad's old cameras. Growing up, Peter never lost his passion for film and music eventually landing him in United States in 2003 where he worked in a TV-studio and took some courses in Video and Film Production. It was during this time, Peter shot his first documentary Born to Die. After finishing school and completing his civil service in Austria, he returned to the States to study cinematography. In addition to working on several professional productions in Austria (Lilly Schönauer, Schwarze Blumen, Detetkiv wider Willen) he has shot a number of short films. Peter currently resides in Denver, Colorado.
